I haven't before seen that reference to someone who asked the policeman to knock him up at 5am, which, coincidentally, appears to be about the time the torso was deposited there....sounds a bit suspicious

The policeman was new to that beat also - perhaps someone was aware of this fact(?)

The suppositions about the "Chelsea Dissector" choosing to deposit his victim in the East End, travelling from the West End in a cart seems very logical. The body was a few days old which might imply some initial problem in disposing of the remains safely

If anyone was carrying a sack with this torso in at that time of the morning, either he didn't carry it too far, or he had some expertise in avoiding the police
