I was hoping it might just be indigestion and he would be out by now. I suffered a similar thing a few years back and was swiftly sent home.
Lets hope he is out rapido..

Me too - a very frightening experience but a great relief too. They did keep me in all night for a full MOT though, so that's probably why there's no news yet about Mike.
I really hope all's well with you, Mike. Take things steady.
Love,
Caz

No news yet?
I do hope he's alright
I mentioned Mike to the family and we're all praying for him
Hopefully the only complaint he's got is about the hospital library

And the food. And the fact that he can't get out at night and return, totally unobserved.

Cellie,Mark,AW...all...
I have yet to hear from Susan. I did not send an email or contact her in any way today as I prefer to hear from her first out of respect. I'm sure she will contact me or someone else from the site shortly.

Thanks for all the support and messages guys.
I was rushed in on Monday morning with a suspected heart attack, and had all the symptoms, from tight chest, difficulty breathing, pins and needles, shooting pains in my arm, and I was quite light headed.
I was rushed into Accident and Emergency, and then later the Acute Assesment Unit for observations.
Throughout the day I had to undertake several ECG's all of which came back ok. My blood pressure was ok, and my temperature remained ok throughout. I had several blood tests which were inconclusive, and a test for Diabetes which came back fine.
The medico's were at a loss to explain what had actually happened, but they were all confident that I was ok and that it was unlikely that it was not a heart attack. My height, weight, fitness, age, and the fact that I am a non drinking, non smoking, individual all helped.
I was supposed to remain in overnight, however, lack of beds meant this was not to be and I was discharged late Monday evening. I had spent most of the stay in corridors strapped to a bed! I spent Tuesday at the Doctors for a follow up appointment and was checked over completely.
I spent the rest of the day in bed. Susan was with the children all day, and trying to co-ordinate the builders and enviromental health officers who were all over the house.
If anything positive is to come from this it is the fact that a rocket has been put up my cardiologists posterior for him to actually see me. We have not had an appointment in 12 months.
On another note, my heart condition was diagnosed 4 years ago today, when I was rushed into the same wards with a heart rate of 180bpm.
Today I feel much better, still a little tired, but thats because the children are off school for the summer holidays and decided to wake up as soon as the sun came over the houses.

Very pleased to hear that everything turned out alright, Mike, even if the medical system is a tad dodgy....
Possible that it could be some sort of odd fever you got?
Cheers,
Adam.

They still believe it was heart related, they are just not sure of the connection. :fish:
Hopefully I will have a cardiologist appointment soon.

It's good to be back Howard, nice to be home with the children. It was awful watching their faces when I was taken into the back of the ambulance. Last time it happened they were both very young and didn't really understand.
Phew - Glad to have you back Mike
Get checked out for arrythmia
Take it easy m8

I had a non return arrythmia, but that was rectified 3 years ago when I had the ablation therapy. It appears as though I still have disarrythmia, and my heart still beats a few times as normal before missing beats then over compensating by beating big beats.
This is the problem I have suffered with for three years, and the problem that was supposed to have been rectified by the cardiologist who I last saw 12 months ago.
Does that happen when you are at rest Mike?
Mike Covell
07-28-2010, 06:12 AM
Work, rest and play. I sleep on my right side, because if I sleep on my left my heart rate drops and struggles.

I'm like you, buddy...I can't sleep unless its on the right side.
Just relax Mike...and keep monitoring yourself.

Welcome home!
Great to hear that it has all settled itself down again, with no problems. Be assured that a sigh of relief comes from the land of the trolls...

Good to see you back, Mike. Tell your cardiologist that your heart has LVP Police Syndrome - skips a beat.

From which I deduce, Mr Brown, that you are
1. A married man.
2. Deaf in your left ear.
