Thanks, Bob. To clarify about what this is about. It is a memorial for the police who died in the Houndsditch murders of 1910, subject of a book by Don Rumbelow. And as per the schedule that you have kindly posted, Don will be a part of the day. Following are excerpt from the itinerary of events:

1. 1030hrs - Guests start to arrive at the site of the plaque unveiling. Entry to the area cordoned off for guests with invitations will be via a gate in Cutler Street near the junction with Houndsditch. Any media present will have this opportunity to takes photographs and seek interviews before proceedings begin. It is likely that the proceedings will be filmed too. . .

5. 1103hrs - The Commissioner of Police for the City of London unveils the plaque and makes a short speech.

6. 1110hrs - Three officials wreaths are then laid by the Commssioner, Police Minster, if present, and the Lord Mayor. . .

9. 1200 - 1220hrs - Tea and Coffee will be served in the CH Rolph Hall, Wood Street. The Force museum staff have arranged for various historical artifacts and exhibits relating to the events in 1910 to be on display. There will also be some background musical entertainment including popular pieces from 1910.

10. 1220hrs - The Commissioner will welcome guests and invite Mr Don Rumbelow to give a short speech outlining the events of the day in 1910. (Don is a former City of London Police officer, author of various books including one on the 1910 murders and others on 'Jack the Ripper'. Don is also an official blue badge guide in the City of London.) Lord Wedgwood will then give a short speech. His grandfather was an MP at the time and a facsimile of a letter from him to Churchill urging restraint can be seen in the Churchill exhibition at the Cabinet War Rooms. The Commisioner will then close the formalities.

Hi Bob

Not sure about your header for this thread, Bob. The Tottenham Outrage on 23 January 1909 (an armed robbery and murder) and the Houndsditch Murders of 1910 which this month's ceremony commemorates were two different things, though both are tied to anarchist activities and ultimately the Siege of Sidney Street of 1912.
