How times have changed.
Imagine the First Lady driving around in an open unprotected wagon or buggy in the fashion described in the following story, today.

The "Mrs. Cleveland" in the story is Frances Folsom Cleveland.. Mrs. Grover Cleveland, the wife of the 22nd & 24th President of the U.S.
Frances Cleveland was only 24 years old in this article, having been born in 1864. As Frances Cleveland left the White House after her husband was not re-elected in 1888 , she told a staff member, "Now, Jerry, I want you to take good care of all the furniture and ornaments in the house, for I want to find everything just as it is now, when we come back again." She was right...they did return.

Anyone harboring doubts as to the worldwide influence and impact of the Ripper...demonstrated here by a religious kook....might care to reconsider.
