Folks..
The reader is requested to go to the thread under the suspects Forum [ Stephenson...Savage on D'onston..] to be reminded of a very important fact regarding archival material.
While many have doubts that people involved with Ripperology will be able to find much more regarding pertinent or peripheral information regarding suspects, victims, and events.......here is a clear example that that idea is false.
John Savage has found the exact article that Stephenson himself claimed to have written in regarding his 1868 shooting on a rented craft off of Flamborough on the Western coast of England.
Up until NOW,and John explains why,the perception was that this article didn't exist in that paper.
Does John solve the WM case with his finding? No.
Does John "show up" other Ripperologists likewise interested in RDS? No.
What John does do and what Nina may very well have done as well,is show that material DOES exist out there and is waiting to be found.
This is a good day in a venture that is more often filled with unfruitful days than productive ones.
A tip of the hat to John Savage for showing and proving...it ain't over until its over !
