I used to own a shop and after buying some items from a promotional products firm, I kept getting free gifts every few months to encourage a further order
These ranged from pens to novelty items. One time I received a box of very good quality penknives which I duly dished out to the customers
It practically saved one person's life according to him as shortly thereafter he was involved in a car crash and was trapped by his seatbelt
He remembered the knife I gave him was in the glovebox and was able to cut himself free

Are we not doing any merchandise with How's portrait on it...?

Good thinking, Chris. Any swimmers need a shark repellent?

That's in the next batch to go up - as soon as I can find a camera where the lens doesn't smash as soon as you point it at him!

Yeah..I hope someone buys a shirt or mug real soon...I'm depending on the proceeds in order to get a decent haircut.

The shirts are pretty decent...and the Forums cups make your coffee taste like um... the best coffee you ever tasted and the cup never gets empty for some reason.

Be careful Howie... I've just eaten and just might puke all over your computer screen.

Has there ever been a JTRforums book written?

I think How's working on a book "One Smart Guy And A Thousand Suckers."

No but Howard and his wife Nina have written a series of interesting articles for Ripperologist. In regard to the current series they are working on, called "The Men Who Would Be Ripper" -- about a number of unbalanced men who either claimed to be the Ripper or who were thought by some to be possible Ripper -- I have told Howard that if collected together the series could make for an interesting book, sort of a "niche" book on the case that would interest some readers. Stephen Ryder had a similar book out a few years ago about letters to the press about the Ripper case written by members of the public along with a number of LVP worthies such as George Bernard Shaw.

Mark:
Maybe one of these days, buddy.
Might be something along the lines of what CG mentioned, with chapters on American Whitechapels, among other things.
Thanks for asking.

Is that lead-free paint on the coffee cup? Looks like you'll be OK if you're left handed.
