Don't know him personally but he's a great Ripperologist, so, Happy B-day (if I may, esp. as a newbie).

I have had the privilege of sitting next to Philip and also stood next to him and I can tell you, he is not that big. :brick:

It's like Cyrano de Bergerac:lie: said, “It's not the size of the nose that counts, it's purely the content.“
(I can't believe I've posted something so gross in a b-day thread!:caked:)

Aw, thank you everyone. I've got to the age now where I'm starting to realise that a good birthday is not one with amazing things happening but one in which everything is straightforward, headache-free and nothing bad happens. Today was such a day, so I can be grateful for that!
Maria - 'newbie'?! You've been on the site over a year! But - yes - I never accept kind wishes of altruism and consideration from newbies. Pah - they're worthless slugs I crush underfoot! :boink:

Happy birthday Phil!
You were one of the nice guys who helped newbie me figure out where stuff was. Like George Yard. I was using an old map from Captain Cook's time. :pound:

Thank you, kind Sir, Mr. Hutchinson, :hail: I'd be honoured to get crushed under your foot. :-)
In my case, Rob:photo:Clack is the one who helped me out with which maps to acquire.
(Incidentally, I joined Ripperology/casebook on June 24, 2010. Considering celebrating an anniversary on that date.)

Oh yes - August. That will stop me scanning too quickly and seeing 'April'. OK, Maria, you ARE a newbie and not allowed to talk to me. Roy, I gave you information about George Yard because you asked me about Mitre Square and I wanted you to get a true sense of de Locksleyism.

Happy Birthday Phil,
One day, when you grow up, you might get a head of hair. LOL

Wow, Phil's birthday, Children's Day in Albania, Tree-planting Day in Cambodia, and Saint Fortunatus of Spoleto Day all in one!
Think of the party theme possibilities!
Have a great one, Phil!
Hmmm....I see you share a birthday with David Berkowitz and Pat Boone.
Interesting.....:brick:

Hi Roy
Captain's Cook's map will get you to Australia but will not navigate you round the East End. :caked:
