Isnt she believed to be the 'prettiest' of the fallen women to do with JTR....her mortuary pic...I mean...though I hope people dont get the wrong idea...she does look more at peace than the other poor women...

I think by your comment "more at peace" you mean less in pieces than the other victims, don't you Currerbell?

Frances Coles has always fascinated me- she has a rather 20th Century face- and that engraving of her and Sadler in the kitchen I always find so touching- there's real affection there.

See what I mean- she could be in any sitcom..allowing for the artist over exagerating her jawline maybe. (Having said that p'raps she did have a 'jawline of note'!

That is so tender and sad- Thomas's hand on her back is beautiful and the sadness is unbearable....you can almost see those shoulders slowly heaving as she cries.

There's a wonderful tenderness there which says to me that Sadler didn't have a hand in the whole affair.

Sorry but 'Prettiness' with reference to any murder victim- should never come into this Currerbell!:nono:... and ' more at peace' is probably more down to the skill of the mortuary men and the photographer's quickly snatched moments.

But the drawings aren't of her in real life, they are made up...and dont even look like her in the mortuary photo...thats just an artist fantasising...she is being idealised...

maybe I should have put the word pretty in commas...oh I did...

Do we know who drew them??? It wasnt for a newspaper was it?

Anyway there's a lot more going in and around Frances and her life that needs dealing with. Thomas Sadler was a dodgy character without a doubt but a killer NO IMHO Check out Rob and Phil's book on the subject- anyway - back to other things:tape:
