To the outside world, "new" is anything they don't know about, which is most of it. Some they got caught by somebody who could write a good press release and make yawnsville sound like the Second Coming.

I never knew that Kosminski could sew plaid cushions, let alone perform an anterior transperitoneal nephrectomy!!

TOO FREAKIN FUNNY, MAN!

I think Swanson better stick to making frozen entrees!!

Dan's right...

It seems most of the "new findings on JTR" or "explosive new information never seen before !!" are these garden variety headline grabbers.

I want to see a "new finding" on what the hell kind of beer John Savage drinks and how much ,thats what I wanna see..Enough of this Ripper schnook.;)

Well Then,

What kind of beer do I drink? Except in emergencies not the 88 gallons of pressurised keg beer in the picture above.

Cask conditioned bitter (it's the real thing!), my personal preferences in no particlular order being, Old Mill, Black Sheep, Hull Brewery, Jennings, Marston's, Tetley's; however I always try to keep on open mind and will try anything once. The important thing is to find a pub were the landlord knows how to look after his beer. For bottled beer my favorite has to be Leffe, Blonde or Brunne, but almost any Belgian beer goes down well as do most Czech or German beers.

How much do I drink? Difficult question really but half a gallon a night should usually suffice, but on a recent visit to Berlin we did an extensive investigation of the bars, night clubs and general dives of that city which went on rather late, and I can only say that I had lost count by about 3 am.

I should perhaps add that I only imbibe when the sun is over the yard arm, and about this time of night I have often been known to be drunk in charge of a computer.

Hic!

Whoa Nellie....

You sound like one of those connisewer....connisower...connis....guys who know their beer.

John...do you drink beer at room temperature ? I tried that once about 30 years ago and almost passed out. I can't do it.

Yer a better man than,J.S., if ye do....:thumbsupbud:

Hi Howard,

The answer is........... it all depends on the temprature of the room!

No I don't like warm beer, it needs to be cool, but not so cold that you loose the taste. I think most pubs these days have their cellars cooled to about 5 degress centigrade and that does the trick.

At the moment I am drinking bottled german beer from the fridge, ( bargain price from the Lidl store) so I will put a thermometer in the fridge tonight and report in detail later.
