I was looking at the MJK photos and wanted to develop a better perspective of where things were placed. Is there a contmporary sketch by police of the floor plan of MJK's room detailing where the bed, table, fireplace and perhaps any other furniture etc were found in the room that day? I'm looking for a view similar to the Mitre Square sketch (a view from above, looking down).

Hello Just Curious, Debbie et al.

I wonder how likely the plan is as regards the rest of Miller's Court. MJK's quarters plus no. 26, which is one house subdivided, are huge compared to the other houses further down the court. The houses on the opposite side of the court particularly seem tiny and foreshortened. It looks as if the maker of the plan has skimped on giving an accurate view of the size of the court in order to just give an idea that there were other houses then to give what he believed was the inside layout of no. 13 Miller's Court. Do you agree?

Chris

Thank you JustCurious. that is what I was looking for!:thumbsupbud:

Hello Chris,
I would agree that the proportions are slightly off. My main concern was to get an idea of where things were in her room in relation to doors, windows and so on.:p

Hi Debbie; I'm glad it was useful for you ....... however, don't take it literally as IMHO, it is way off as to scale and detail etc.

which actually answers your question Chris G ..... I totally agree with you about your observations of the plan; I have searched and searched for a better plan of Millers Court, but have not yet found one, so am contemplating doing one of my own, to scale and as accurate as I can make it. I was a graphic designer in a former life ..... so it may just turn out passable, IF I can get to grips with it in PSP :-)

Otherwise it will be a sketch/draw/scan jobbie.

I'll keep you informed.

Hi Chris.

I believe I read a caveat concerning Tully's diagram that it was not to scale and shouldn't be considered a detailed map of the terrain.

I did recently see a contemporary sketch of Kelly's room from the point of view of the door. It was neither to scale nor top-down, but it did give a pretty good representation of where all the furniture and fixtures were in relation to each other.
