Thread devoted to discussion about Edmund Reid...balloon ascensionist and Inspector in "H" Division.
He is also the subject of Stewart Evans' book..."The Man Who Hunted Jack The Ripper".
A little tidbit found elsewhere as well:

I have a feeling that Grey Hunter has a special place in his heart for Inspector Reid...maybe he would care to share his sentiments on Inspector Reid.

The book was actually co-written with Nicholas Connell. A small correction but a significant one. I hope Nick Connell comes back with another Ripper book one day soon!

Tom,
I hope Nick Connell comes back with another Ripper book one day soon!
I echo that comment. I have just finished, well quite a while ago actually, Nicks book on Dew. Loved it.
I know Stewart thinks very highly of him......I can see why.
