Hi,
Many of you will know that my second well discussed topic was the alleged incident at 'St patricks ' at the burial of mjk,
The incident which two teenage girls witnessed but was never reported was the spitting down by a man on the coffin when he was alone.
This has been my belief since the mid 1970s.
It have been rejected ever since as a non event, just third hand oral history.
On Casebook at this very time ' Grey Hunter has been posting a old theory [ not his own] about the recollections some 60 years ago of a old east ender named 'Old soapy' made to the author of the theory at the time.
I am sure that you all will switch to Casebook to read up , but several intresting points are made,
a] Old soapy then 12 was nearly first on the scene?
b] A strong smell was evident when the body was removed ie Paraffin,
c]The grave spitting incident is refered to and a suspect umplied.
I was shocked as my post was sent before Grey hunter made that point proberly because i mentioned it, for i suggested mayby a member of the clergy attended the service from Spitalfields church and was the infamous Grave Spitter'.
A fascinating read folks.
