On the anti-Trenouth blog, this has appeared in response to another of KK's authoritative pronouncements concerning the case:

One can readily see that these signatures are not identical, but they do resemble one another to some extent, at least at first glance.

But I seem to remember an article on Victorian handwriting, probably on casebook, wherein it was stated that, due to the nature of the methods used to teach handwriting at the time, there was naturally some resemblance between the handwriting of most men of the era.

Does anyone else remember this, or am I talking through my top hat again?
