Thanks for posting that link up, Tim.

I think I've mentioned this before, but a while back I had the chance to visit the actual cell that Deeming was incarcerated in at the Old Melbourne Gaol. I have to say that it's a very eerie experience - despite Deeming being one of the lesser suspects, you can't help but wonder "Am I standing in Jack the Ripper's cell?". It's a very small space but the way they've turned it into a museum is great. Deeming is actually not the most famous prisoner that was ever there though - Ned Kelly would be that man.

I actually have some photos around here somewhere of the gaol and of Deeming's cell if anyone is interested in seeing them posted on here?

I remember a photo of you in the prison...one you sent me about 3 years ago or so,around the time your article appeared in Ripperologist in regard to Tasmanian newspapers...sadly,I am certain that I don't have that one anymore.

Go ahead and put one up if you still have it,please.
