Anyone ever hear of this, or am I way out of the loop (again)?

Yes, Tim. I know that I watched this at the time - I remember enjoying the whole series. But I remember very little about the Maybrick programme, apart from the emphasis on how this young American woman had come to be accused of arsenic poisoning. The diary didn't actually appear on my radar until late 1998. I think it was another two or three years before I remembered the 'In Suspicious Circumstances' prog.

The only thing I do know about this program is that David Burke was the first of two Dr. Watson's in the Granada series of "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" alongside the incomparable Jeremy Brett.
Thanks for finding this Tim...and also thanks for another Mosleyesque day ( Jan. 30th ) of finding and placing new URL's. Great work.

This was the series with Edward Woodward wasn't it?
It was a damned good series as I remember and well overdue a digital rerun some time soon.
As I recall, he mentioned the diary as a "footnote" to the Maybrick episode.

"This plot synopsis is empty. Add a synopsis." Hmmmmm.
Actually there is a very nice encapsulation of the movie as well as an informed analysis written by "theowinthrop" aka Jeff Bloomfield. Go to
