Please notice, yet again, the truth of the Paglia principle as enunciated in "Sexual Personae": "There is no female Mozart, because there is no female Jack the Ripper." My theory is that artistic genius and extreme criminality are forms of deranged abstraction that primarily affect the male brain. Where are the female Kaczynskis? Women have more sensible ways to express their frustrations -- like stuffing themselves with fudge-ripple ice cream and cinnamon buns.

Females and males average out the same but the bell curve is just flatter with males.

Stan:
You are/were a physician,correct?
Don't you think it has something to do with the way male brains ( only talking about Europid males here, since Paglia mentions 2 Europids ) had to develop in order to hunt and all that stuff when we was in loin cloth?
Or is it simply because males have tentacles and girls don't?
Some of you have tentacles, darling. Some of you just have feelers.

Where are the female Kaczynskis?
You mean like Kathy Boudin? She's serving 25 to life.
Ulrike Meinhof? Committed suicide in prison.

No, I am not a physician. I think it was Tom who started calling me that and I didn't say anything because I thought it was some kind of a cut.

Sorry about that then, Stan. I thought that you were. No offense meant.
Jon:
Good examples.

Some of Paglia's art and literary theory is gorgeous, but I've always taken her with a grain of salt I could cart around in a wagon.

I think it's a good point that female serial killers are rare, and they seem to mostly be accomplices to men.
Yes, and when you eliminate the "black widows" who kill for the insurance money and the "angels of mercy" who kill to put their patients out of their pain, the list gets even shorter.
Leaving Aileen Wurnos as maybe othe only solo female serial killer in the classic sense.
What I will never understand is women who kill their own children like Diane ?? (somebody whose last name I can't think) of or Susan Smith. Women who are suffering from post partum depression are one thing, but to kill your child in cold blood is simply unfathomable to me.

In the same sense is Rose West, who murdered her daughter with her husband, and is believed to have found some sense of sexual pleasure in doing so.
