How Brown

Here are some questions to ponder for those of us involved in the main Mylett Thread....which is fascinating,in my view. I paid less attention to this crime than I should have and hope others look into it as I am doing.
1. Why didn't Brownfield, an experienced medical man, notice alcohol in Mylett's stomach ?
2. Why did Bond apparently disregard Brownfield's declaration that no alcohol was found and check for it in the first place?
3. Did you know that there are 41 days between the Kelly murder and the Mylett murder? Nov. 9 to Dec. 20. Exactly the same amount of days between the Stride murder and the Kelly murder....41.
4. How serious was the investigation into the Mylett murder after the determination from the jury was handed down?
5. In my perusal for information last night regarding Mylett and the elements of this saga.... as I was reading to Nina in our nightly, "Read to me, Howie" segment of the evening...I came across a reference in a book ( dedicated to SPE) by Neil Storey, "A Grim Almanac Of Jack The Ripper's London" which reminded me of the remarks regarding Rose Mylett's features upon her death.
She was said to have appeared "perfectly placid".
On December 7th, 1888... Daniel Minahan was executed at Newgate. In fear that a repetition of a previous hanging, where a man's head was ripped from the torso....they limited the length of the rope for Minahan's execution to 63 inches.
His death was recorded as instantaneous and the court made a special note of stating that the executed man's face " bore a perfectly placid expression without the slightest trace of pain..." ( page 182).
This is in reference to a man who was the main feature at a necktie party....and he was said to have been "perfectly placid"...as was Mylett. Remember that folks....
6. If no other footprints were found near Mylett's body...is it possible that she somehow broke free of the grip of her killer....and made it to the spot she was found by PC Golding and simply succumbed to the trauma of the garroting?
