Been there done that!!! The Bagel Bake is just SOMETHING else open 24hrs a day 7 days a week! That's the reason they don't want the road (Brick Lane) made into some sort of precinct -because the cab drivers etc etc come in and out all night- trouble is the Indian restaurant guys have a point and want to be able to use the pavements for tables without the sweep of the odd passing Mercedes!!!...I can go with that in some ways! It's a wonderful place to get the BEST bagel in the world! - The smoked salmon and cream cheese is to die for and the Salt Beef aaaaaaaaaagh!!!!...The vege versions are the cat's a*** too!!!!! Check out The Bagel Bake isright at the top of Brick lane if you're in 'town' a bit of a walk as the 'jobbers' will attest but well worth it!!!:kiss:

The reknowned photographer,John Bennett, is said to have been told, "Oh, its alright,mate...I sleeps 'ere every night anyways...no need to dole some dosh for a room...I'm right as rain.." when the gentleman photographer offered a meal,a bar of soap and a room at "The All Fours Lodging House" to Robert...
