Finally booked my flights, thank goodness.
What hotels or casual wards near the Conference do people recommend ?
Looking forward to seeing you again, Bob. Donna and I are at the Ibis Hotel down the street from Kings Stores as are a number of other attendees. Address is 5 Commercial Street, London E1 6BF, Tel : (+44)207/4228400, accorhotels.reservation@accor.com. Good luck in booking accomodations, Bob.

I'll be coming in from (and going to) home. Straight after the second day, I'm going down the road and starting a regular Ripper tour.

Two quick questions - what is the underground stop nearest the hotel ?
And are these folks likely to have voltage adaptors for laptops and the like ?

Sir Bob,
I assume you mean the Ibis?
If so, nearest tube Aldgare East (around 50 paces away, around the corner).
I cannot be sure about the connectors but sure they would.

And remember everyone : obesity can kill.
Send any leftover cake to me, and I'll see it's disposed of safely.

Hi Sir Robert,
Hotels will probably not have adapters for your laptop, although you should be able to buy them before you go, perhaps at the airport. It is easy to buy adapters in the UK for European and US plugs, but not so easy the other way round.
The electricity supply in UK is 220/240 volt AC and your laptop charger will probably cope with this, but please check.

Robert Linford...
If I go to England in 2011...will you be there?
Lets make a date....like two, non-gay guys...buddies with a lot in common without any kissing and hugging...because I don't go there..well,maybe I'll hug you..on second thought lets just see how it plays out.
Will you go ?

How, I'm not really a conference person.
Still, if you're going, maybe you could mail me some Scotch eggs.
