Author and Forums member Heather Calendin shared this information with me this morning:
February 28, 2009 – Toronto, On
Heather McAlendin (Wicked Dreams and Nicholea: A Life Damned) is pleased to announce the release of her novelette; Fae. Written in the same genre of Supernatural Fiction, Fae is the story of a celtic myth become reality.
Gordon Parks is a middle aged romance author who writes under the pseudonym of Erica Stone. Lacking confidence in himself socially he hides from the world and loses himself in the stories he writes. Imagine the life of a man who wants nothing but praise from his peers and women but is too afraid to ask or outwardly seek it. Fae on the other hand is an angry, bitter half breed human-faerie who has been rejected, banished and left barren by her own mother and faerie kin.
Seeking vengeance on both human and faerie kind, Fae sets out to seduce a human male in order to try and conceive the one thing she has been denied; having a child. When that fails, Fae kidnaps a child and in doing so, brings Gordon Parks face to face with his own fears of social ineptitude and commitment. In order to save the human child’s life Gordon must find the strength within to save both the child and the child’s mother.
The result of Fae’s actions causes a chain affect that will forever alter her life and the life of Gordon’s Parks. Is Fae redeemable? Will Gordon Parks find happiness and contentment in his own life? How will the interaction between faerie and humankind affect both worlds?
