Nice find !
We're knee deep in Tumbelty and I like it like it yes I do.
Excellent Nina - what is that a picture of? - it's a bit hard to make out
Can I ask - are you also searching under the variations of the name "Tumblety"?
It did seem to be mis-spelled a lot

Nemo:
Neither Nina..who is sleeping...or I could determine what that is representative of.
I believe that she has been employing the multiple spellings in her searches...good thinking Nemo.
It looks like a witch waving a flag on a railway track - very strange

Nemo, old pal...thats just the way you remove pimples forever after using Doc Tumblety's Pimple Banisher@ ! You go and stand in front of an oncoming train waving a broom.... Don't you know anything ?

The picture represents a man in a garden, carrying a book and pointing to a plant. It was meant to show Tumblety's herbal medicine. The earliest that I have seen this woodcout in in Toronto in 1856. Attached is a better quality image from the Canadain Almanac for 1859.
Best,
Tim
Thanks a lot Tim - I see it now
amazing what the eye "sees" in a vague shape
