The appearance in the Hull Daily Mail and on BBC Radio Humberside went really well, and a couple of idiotic comments aside, the feedback has been good.
Today I am filming this morning for a brief spot on this lunch times Look North on the BBC, then we are filming again this afternoon to appear on this evening's Look North!
It's all a bit hectic, and I can't record it, plus it's only regional, so I am not sure how many will get to see it.
Susan told me that they show BBC Look North on the Big Screen in the City Centre, so my head will look huge...well bigger than it is anyway!

Maybe our very own media sensation:high5: would like to field questions or offer some commentary on his experience yesterday.

The camera adds a couple of stone and what was going on with my voice! I sounded so camp!!
Anyway, I recorded for about an hour at Ferens Art Gallery, with three set ups, including an interview. This was all seen on the early show.
Then, we recorded for 2 hours at my house, and sat in a long interview discussing Stephenson. I made it quite clear that I was against Stephenson's candidacy, but the crew made it clear that the piece would be open ended, with the view to making people get involved and follow the paper trail themselves!
I was suprised at how quick it all works, and how technical it can be, but I must admit, the shooting part was quite easy, the nerve racking part was sat waiting for the show wondering what they had done, how they had edited it, and what it would make of the case and my research.
They spent a long time filming my book scrolling up the screen, but didn't use that, which is handy really, as some of the chapters and text give away information that I wouldn't want certain people reading just yet.
They also spent time filming my books and files, and you will notice Paul Begg's The Facts appears in a couple of shots!!
The response so far has been very positive, and I recieved calls, texts, and emails from all over the place, with really nice suggestions. One of my friends even missed Hollyoaks to watch the show. I have only seen one single negative comment.
My family were all watching it, as were all my friends, susan's friends, my mothers workmates, and fathers workmates, so I got great feedback off them too!
The kids loved it, and Bradley was happy that his self portrait, hung behind my screen, made an appearance.
He also told me he dreamed about Jack the Ripper, and asked him to stop killing, I had to ask what the ripper looked like, to which Bradley replied...
"He had a top hat and cloak on....."

Seriously, as I just remarked to you....they would never have asked you on if the presentation wiped him out of contention.
Whats the upside to all this? You get some recognition for your fault...er, excellent research...there might be some civilians interested enough to participate in research
....and people will become interested in local history over there in Hull.
Good going buddy.
