Not sure if this is the right place to put this but anyway, Ive been looking at the polls on JTR etc and have written down the most popular answer to see what we all think on Jack and the case. Here are the results so far:

- JTR is an unknown suspect
- People want to eliminate Druitt as a suspect
- He had no medical knowledge but was self taught
- He would have been hung if caught
- He worked alone
- Possible his woman knew what he was doing
- No reason decided for him stopping
- He kept all his clothes on during the murders
- He kept his knife in his coat pocket
- JTR write the GSG
- He had no criminal record
- He did return to the crime scenes
- Never married or had kids
- Possibly gay
- Never wrote any of the Letters
- Born in England
- Lived in centre of killing ground

- Martha Tabram was the most likely other victim
- All killings were random
- Victims never met, but seen each other
- It was MJK's body in Millers Court
- JTR had killed before the Canonical 5, no more after
- Not sex crimes
- Variety of reasons for him killing them
- Mutliated to shock, destroy womanhood
- No Jewish connection but wanted to imply them
- Fire in Millers Court only for light

- JTR artifacts binned
- Eddowes apron scrap binned
- Police didnt know who he was
- Came close to catching him but didnt know
- Diary by unknown people for financial gain
- Fitting end ~ shot by an armed prostitute
- No odds will ever express if case will be solved definitely
- Equal yes/no as to whether JTR used a disguise

Something for you all to ponder over!

That definitely took some time & effort to complete and its laid out very nicely. I hope others will give the list the once over twice.

Does anyone agree with what the polls show us?

Hi Currerbell

I always thought that most online discussions on the Ripper`s possible sexuality tended to point towards hetero male, and that it was unlikely he would be gay?

Hi Jon

Most people put it was possible but could not be proven...tho I agree with you and have seen the debates arguing for him being heterosexual rather than gay...

Maybe he killed women cause he didnt need them (amongst other reasons), he was satisfied with a male partner when it came to sex/love etc

Me, I'm just glad that someone is actually looking at the polls. Hooray for Currerbell!

LOL Admin, I think more attention should be paid to them, if that is people's genuine answer on so many of them, then a conclusion of the majority can be found...which is what I thought would be interesting to find out...

So does it match any of our suspects?!!!

Perhaps, Currerbell, based on what we know now about prostitute killers, the question of his sexuality should be the easiest to answer,I`m sure that 99% of these sort of crimes are committed by straight men?

I couldnt actually comment but from what I know, I believe they are hetero, its actually the poll result I was most surprised at...

...yes, i`m sorry, drifting off the point.:tape:

I did forget that Tumblety and Druitt (??) are high on the suspect lists.
