I sometimes see the composer Karl Jenkins, who used to play umpteen different instruments with Soft Machine, when commuting in and out of Swansea of a morning. I've spoken briefly with him a few times, and he's a really nice, down-to-earth bloke.

Colin Firth aka Mr Darcy rode past me on a bicycle whilst I stood at a bus stop near Kings Cross...

As Mick Jagger once said to me, "'ere Johnny, never name-drop".
Seriously though: Robert, what a nice photo and nice chance meeting.

I dunno... I mention that I've bump into a man a few times at a train-station, and all of a sudden I'm Victor Spinetti! *
* For those of you who don't know of Victor, he's surely one of the worst name-droppers in the whole of show-business :)

He was very cordial. I've always been a big fan, especially of Rock Bottom
Speaking of which, How - the best thing was getting to grab Robert Clack's ass in broad daylight at the Mortuary.

Bob:
A slice off a cut loaf ain't ne'er missed...as Clack's keister has had more hands on it than the HMS Pinafore.
Some "first best" thing that was.

And all you got was a hand fulla toches.
Such a schlimazzel you are. So did you get an autograph or just some cheek ?

Hello Howie
It may be the Soft Machine for you but for Sir Bob. . . .

I once met Victor Spinetti. It was at the time I was a stand in for Sean Connery as James Bond.

What a coincidence, Paul. I once met Victor Spinetti at the stage door and he asked for my autograph. When I gave it to him he said: "You don't spell Margaret Rutherford like that!" Needless to say I didn't speak to the vulgar little man again.
Tally ho!!
Love,
Caz

Vince and I were chatting one day in Sandringham over Don Perniggnon and horse derves.... and the conversation turned to comparing successful lines used to conquer females and make 'em do what we wannem to. Its funny, but Vince had no input since he never put anything in, but did have some juicy annie-dotes about this guy who once stood in for Sean Connery back in the 1960's....
