The preceding scans were from minutes taken as you can see only 11 days before Martha Tabram's murder.

Discussion on these papers is most welcome.
In my own personal view....its probably the best indicator of the attitude a police official ( Superintendant Arnold) in the district had since its free of the fear and passions that were about to be unveiled in Whitechapel/Spitalfields. Yet, thats just my view...it may not be yours.

There were two posts I had up earlier ( I believe Colin will remember them...) which pointed out the practice of Jewish runners ripping off newly arrived Jews just as other ethnic groups do to their "own". Nice. Real nice.

It didn't get pointed out that it was a matter Jews ripping Jews off...but it was. Look on page 189 of the scan and then consider the nonsense that has been uttered by some of us in the community about how awful the native born were to Jews without mentioning the terrible effects of Jews ripping other Jews off were in the first place....all definitely known facts to that particular theorist some time in the past. What other people spoke "the same language" that the Jewish immigrants did ? The Eskimos?

In essence, much of the suffering of many of the East End's Jews who escaped real persecution in the Pale of Settlement or points East was a direct result of fellow Jews preventing the movements of Jews who had planned to trek to America for a new life before they were robbed . They became stuck in Spitalfields thanks to the treachery of their own ethnic "brothers".
