Interesting conversation with my cousin at work today.
He saw the "Mystery Quest" documentary featuring the promotion of Mary Pearcey-as-Ripper as well as information on Tumblety and comparison handwriting...and you know the rest.
He felt that both theories were plausible. I told him to wait until the next suspect based documentary came out and then tell me what he thought.
Its funny to discuss the Case with civilians, even family members, because I remember the very same cousin....although he apparently doesn't...arguing that Sickert ( He watched a Cornwell documentary a few years back) was "the man"....after watching that documentary.
Anyone have any anecdotes about those who aren't involved in our field, but take the time to offer their opinions on what they've seen or read?
