Thanks to the (surprisingly ) quick thinking of Sam Flynn....here's a link to new posts until we get our stuff together:

http://jtrforums.com/search.php?do=getnew (http://jtrforums.com/search.php?do=getnew)

It might be helpful if you revert to the default skin at the bottom left of the front page.

May not be functioning properly because several posts I made in the past few hours did not show up. :(

The php code invoked by that link shows new posts you haven't seen, not "all new posts in past 24 hours" (or similar), Chris. By definition, therefore, it shouldn't bring back a post you've just made... because you've already seen it :) In actual fact, I can see a post I've just made in the listing, except it's greyed out - all "fresh" new posts are shown in bold.

I use this constantly, by the way, and it works as expected every time.

Thanks, Gareth. Actually the posts I made earlier are showing up for me now. I am gratified about this because those posts are so wonderful I just have to read them again. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3393/3435966146_9e373956eb_o.gif

Congrats for the 1,000 posts Nemo...well done.

Now go look at what I gave you as a gift on your 1,000th post.

Most people get a sweater or hat when they hit 1,000 posts...

You get her.

Because I love ya Neems.

Awww thanks Howard - I didn't notice the 1000 mark - is that an overblown-up-doll with a wig on?

She's better looking than most of the girls in my area

So that's what it is! I thought it was Jackie Coogan being attacked by a sheep.

Sammy:

That Nemo made it to 1000 posts and didn't get into one argument along the way is a friggin' miracle and the reason I asked Tim to reprostitute the avatars on the site in order to commenstruate Nemo's achievement.
