38,106 posts last year. I personally took off over 13,000 posts myself during 2009.
Over 104 posts per day, day in and day out.
Very nice numbers from one and all.:eyebrows:

I know what the cause was now, Howard.
We may have to limit our attachment sizes for reasons of security. Our host will advise us if so.
If so, then I think we should just switch to thumbnails that can be enlarged by the viewer upon clicking. I know of other VBulletin sites that do just that, probably for that same reason.
I'm sure we'll talk more of it, but for now the battle is won.
Three cheers for Canuck! :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

Tim:
The battle is indeed won.
I converted one poster's attachments ( some newbie fellow ) into Photobucket ones all damned day today....57 Mb worth.
I feel sorry for everyone else, being conscientious, since I didn't get a chance to make great posts or captions, as they suffered the most. My apologies.
We'll get there.:thumb:

We're down to 208 Mb of attachments on the site.
I just spent 4 hours pervertin' and convertin' and our data load is far lighter.
I successfully subverted 52 Mb in those 4 hours...which is a record for these here parts.
We lost no posts or attachments during this extensive subversion process.
Total attachments---3530 ( down from 4200 when I started on the 8th of May)
Disk space used-----208.21 Mb ( down from 422Mb when I started )
In short...I cut the load down by over one half from two weeks ago.
This should make it easier for members and onlookers to navigate the boards.
Much more to do.
