Several of us are aware of the current health problems of Mr. Paul Begg.
Fortunately, one serious issue within his overall condition has been, from what he mentioned to me, minimalized.

Lets please keep Mr. Begg in our thoughts. He's been a great help to many members here and throughout the field for many years.

Get well, Mr. B !

Indeed, How.

I've heard of nothing but the best about Paul and how he's helped much. My best wishes and hopes for a speedy recovery, Mr. Begg.

Justin

Get well soon Paul.

PS I'm thinking of fund-raising to open a convalescent home in Hove for recuperating Ripperologists. All donations welcome.

Yes Chris, suspect essential, witness not (suspect can glimpse himself in the mirror and shout "That's the man" but then refuse to swear to himself).

Many thanks for all your good wishes. They are very much appreciated. I'm glad to say that the medication is kicking in and that I'm taking an interest in things around me, and that Diagnosis Murder is no longer a highlight of my day.

Nietzsche has stated that the English made Sunday so boring that one would be eager to get back to work. That was before they invented daytime television. It can only be worse now and more of an inducement to recuperate.

Glad to see you posting again,Mr. B.:high5:

Anyone looking at British TV will know all about eternal recurrence.

Thats true and wise words from the only man who was around before there were rocks.--HB

...Diagnosis Murder is no longer a highlight of my day.

Glad to hear it Paul. Dick Van Yawn must be the perfect litmus test for how much more rest a body can take.

But no Dr Who for you yet, young man. We don't want you leaping behind that sofa.

Love,

Caz

My sofa is against a wall, so if I tried to leap behind it I'd do myself an injury. Come to think of it, I'd do myself and injury just trying to leap over a sofa if it wasn't against the wall!

Diagnosis Murder was quite good fun and Dick Van Dyke is an engaging actor, although three almost back-to-back episodes on different channels did eventually highlight its weaknesses. There were times, though, when even it provided more mental stimulation than I needed, but, as you say, it was a good litmus test. As, indeed, was begining to be irritated by certain commercials, like the guy we all know is an actor threateningly saying 'we're all lawyers', that obnoxious and also threatening chap telling me to visit his credit expert site, or the girl, who would be Irish, in the laser eye surgery ad who says, 'I'm seeing things again for the first time.'
Love
Paul

You're starting to scare people with this new found acumen of television facts and drivel,Mr. B.
You've got guts to be able to stand daytime television. I couldn't do it.

Mr. Begg, I'd just like to say that I count your works on the JTR case to be among the most informative and knowledgable examples of research ever done on this mystery. And I want to wish you a safe and healthy recovery.

I hope your recovery continues to go well, Paul.

Take it easy. If you can't take it easy, take it any way you can get it :behindsofa:
