Default Simon Pegg

British actor Simon Pegg just tweeted the following:

Just back from a Jack the Ripper walk in the East End. Weird to think he was active when my great grandparents were alive. Fascinating stuff

Any of you guides take him out?

You know, I could picture Simon Pegg doing a good comedy about the Whitechapel murders--maybe playing Walter Dew.

Burke and Hare wasn't bad--aside from being ruined by an American director....

I thought it was awful (although I liked Andy Serkis)...The 1970's version was miles better with Derren Nesbitt, Glyn Edwards and Harry Andrews

Not me, unfortunately!! I think he's working on a film about a serial killer (according to a fellow guide/actor who is going to be in it - not Philip though) so perhaps he was doing some background research?

Todays update:

Dreamt that a faceless man in a suit, ran down a dark alley on all fours towards me at inhuman speed. Post Ripper tour stress disorder.

Pegg is currently working on A Fantastic Fear of Everything. Here is a plot synopsis courtesy of the Internet Movie Database.

Jack is a children's author turned crime novelist whose detailed research into the lives of Victorian serial killers has turned him into a paranoid wreck, persecuted by the irrational fear of being murdered. When Jack is thrown a life-line by his long-suffering agent and a mysterious Hollywood executive takes a sudden and inexplicable interest in his script, what should be his big break rapidly turns into his big breakdown, as Jack is forced to confront his worst demons; among them his love life, his laundry and the origin of all fear.

Nah, it wasn't me. I DID have a first last night, though - someone passed out when I was describing the MJK murder.

Jack was active when all four of my grandparents were alive.

God that makes me feel old.
