I just thought I'd share the following from the latest issue of Ripperana, a journal which never fails to amuse:
In a very short fluff piece about people who use pseudonyms: "...there is the authoress A. P. Wolf, who hides behind this singular name in print and on the web, in order to snipe at the motivation of male Ripper researchers. She is variously described as an Australian sports-woman, and an Egyptologist." In a move that would no doubt set well with AP, editor Nick Warren spends his editorial bagging on Colin Wilson. Thanks Tom...I was gonna ask what one has to do to get a copy of Ripperana. Past attempts ( emails) have been unproductive.
A.P.....any truth to the rumor that you are going to be Australia's representative in the 2008 Olympics as its broad jumper?

Must say I've never heard of A.P. Wolf the Australian sportswoman before.....what field is/was she supposed to be in?
Probably one of those massive, muscular shot putters or something... It's a wonder there's no mention of Virginia Woolf there as well... Cheers, Adam.

Thanks for that Tom.
The only sport I've ever indulged in has been a slow crawl to the bar, and after that I just don't move very much at all. |

How, I've been in contact with Nick Warren recently and he has send me the latest two issues of Ripperana. I'll let you know as soon as I've published the reviews of the zine. So far no probs with getting into contact with Nick.

Perhaps Howard's mistake was failing to mention that he's a webmaster of a Ripper site. Sadly, that seems to be necessary to get a prompt response from Nick these days, or so I've heard anyway. Howard's not the only one to complain of bouncing or unreturned e-mails, not to mention those who've sent money in but never received an issue.

Thanks for that information,Franklin.
Tom...maybe I ought to try again with Warren. I'm still hoping that the issue that was mentioned in the A to Z that featured an article by a guy named Stephen Willment is still around somewhere. Naturally,it had to do with Donston.

Tom:
Willment( born in 1953,like me ) wrote an article which was ostensibly enough to force Mr.Harris to hurl a rebuttal at the claims Willment made about the inability of Donston to leave his ward(s). I wonder if Willment had uncovered what Spiro mentioned before about the nature of the wards Donston was in. If you get a chance...see if you have it. Thanks........
