    Major Arthur Griffiths

    Hi All,

Just to say that over the holiday I saw a new edition of "Mysteries of Police and Crime" by Major Arthur Griffiths available in Waterstones.

Yes Major Griffiths is a most remarkable man, having far outlived the nemesis of Scotland Yard, the Whitechapel murderer.

If you don't mind sifting through the endless mis-spellings there is an online version here,

It was published last April by The History Press under the title "Victorian Murders: Mysteries of Police and Crime". It's quite a nice edition too.

            Hi Paul,

I was not aware that it had been published that long ago, I really must try harder to keep up with things.

I just thought it would be a good idea to let people know.

Absolutely right to do so too. I saw it in a local bookshop, then forgot all about it until I found a note of it I'd made on my phone.
