        Howard!

I only just saw "the man with the sack", portrayed in the IPN and posted by you. Any chance that there was an adjoining article expanding on this man to some extent?
I´d be most grateful to see it, in such a case. The proposition that the Pinchin Street victim had sackmarks on her body was there in some paper, but this pic was new to me.

No problems whatsoever, Howard - after 125 years, what´s another day? Thanks for helping out!

                Christer:

That's all that was in that edition of the IPN....the IPN was only a four page newspaper.

"Germans, Poles and Russians ... engage in ... callings ... requiring no great physical exertion" - love that one!

And "A bundle, such as Jews throw away at nighttime" - it WAS an interesting society, apparently ...

Not a word about the man with the sack, though. Thanks anyhow!!

It's either a drawing of Michael Keating or a generic drawing based on the belief that the torso was carried into the arch in a sack.

The sign in the back that reads C. Hinchliffe caught my eye.

                            Yours truly,
