The Ripper Has Arrived
One of the things that I especially like to do when reading the contemporary newspapers...is pretend that I am reading it on the day it first appeared.
The following one is a good example. Just imagine that its a blustery April morning...you've got the grits and scrapple simmering on the iron stove and a cup of java in your mitts...as you open the local morning paper....to learn the Ripper has arrived.... Evening Star April 24, 1891 **********  ---
