Hello Howard, Rob. Thanks for posting this.

Hmm, time for me to write a proposal to the people in the carpeted office.

    Cheers.

      Hi Howard

Might you attend the course? It would appear to me that you could contribute something.

      Best regards

      Chris

P.S. Lynn, when you talk about the carpeted office, is that the same thing as the padded cell? :biggrin1:

I'm a little interested in the class, but...(now for the excuses)...Temple's campus is a monstrous pain in the butt to get to for me. It's also in one of the worst neighborhoods in Philly, but the campus itself is safe. And I coach soccer on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays...

            Rob...
Is it on the Broad Street campus ?
"They" certainly ruined that area, that's for damned sure...thats why they call it the Badlands.

Safety JTR class at Temple University

              Colleagues,

I am the teacher of the Jack the Ripper class mentioned in recent posts. I wish to disagree with the poster who said Temple is in a dangerous neighborhood. The JTR class is being offered in Center City Philadelphia, directly across the street from its beautiful, baroque City Hall. It is well-illuminated and there is substantial activity there, as people attend professional theater or go out for fine cuisine. Further, there is security at the door and those enrolled in my class will receive ID cards to show or be barred admission.

Also, the class is across the street from the train station and, thus, easily accessible to those in the suburbs.

The program has been taught in the past and no one reported any difficulties. I hope those of you in the area will join me as we explore facts and speculation about the Ripper.

Many of us have trod the streets of Whitechapel in our research and exploration. Center City Philadelphia is no match for it.

              Janis

                Thanks for the clarification, Janis.

I stand corrected. Thanks for the information. I saw "Philadelphia" and incorrectly assumed Temple's main campus.
