Well, since I have always done that, I have never had the problem that Chris describes. We are much obliged for your sharing the tip.
Personally, when I have a long message to post, I do it in Word and then copy and paste. I have encountered problems of one sort or another when writing long posts, which caused me to lose all my work. After 2 times, I adopted the Word method and have had no problems since.
