A couple of photos taken last Friday, 5 October, so it all looks like there isn't long to go.

I knew it was going to happen, and the world progresses as it should do, its natural.

However Mitre Square has been a good friend to me over many years. Its always been the spot I stop at and reflect, as some of you have seen.

Its like seeing someone you care about in a hospital bed. Its a reality check, and you hope to God they come out the other side.

Its a shame and sad to see, modern day buildings to me have a severe lack of character.

From the pictures it looks like the spot were Catgerine Eddowes died may remain more or less intact.

Could we impress upon the developers the historical importance of the site of proor Catherine's death and try to get them to ensure that it is marked in some way?

I wonder if the developers even know about the historical importance of that corner of Mitre Square? Might it be worthwhile to bring it to their attention?

I was walking past Mitre Square today when I noticed Richard Jones holding court to a group of journalists. I can only imagine it was related to the re-development. From what I had read, I assumed the site would be fenced off but it seemed pretty much the same as normal.
