What NOT To Say On The Forums March 11, 2017
Yesterday, I undertook what some might see as a draconian move by requesting that when discussing Charles Lechmere....people refrain from saying that he was seen with the body ( Mrs. Nichols) or saying that he was seen standing over the body of the same. Because, he wasn't in either case.
People involved with discussion or debate on Lechmere ( or even other threads) have grown tired of having to mention that these two conditions have no basis in fact in the Bucks Row murder. Some discussions have derailed into arguments over the persistent misrepresentation of known Nichols murder facts.
I had some experience with this sort of thing over a decade ago when confronting the most well known purveyor of the D'Onston-as-Ripper theory about the misrepresentaion of events or facts in that suspect-theory. I took some criticism for not being 'fairminded' and not allowing for speculation. Nevermind that the facts the suspect-theorist was presenting were calculated to mislead you and me about that suspect.
So, with no further ado, if you wish to present Lechmere or Kozminski or even D'Onston, as being the Ripper.....get your facts straight. I have an obligation to make sure we ( The Forums ) are as close as possible to the truth as it applies to Case information. Debra Arif or Bob Linford just don't throw up partially or half-assed research material and expect YOU to imagine or guess the rest of those details. We are going to apply this to suspect-oriented research too.
Speculation is a fundamental part of Modern Ripperology. Distortion of known and providable facts from within the Case aren't.

Thank you for saving us from Revisionist Historians. They are trying to take over the world.
Back into hiding for me.
