    Major career change!

    Hi all,

I am about to make a major career move.

As from Sunday 4th August I am making my debut as an internet DJ (DJ the DJ?)

For the last few months, Ben, a mate of mine has been running Bridge Radio, a local internet radio station. Having bribed me with several pints of lager, he persuaded me to join his enterprise and present a golden oldies show.

My first show is now ready and I will be playing Rock & Roll, Rock, Blues, Blues Rock, Soul and even Zydeco, in fact, anything that takes my fancy. If it proves to be popular, Ben has threatened me with a mid week show somewhere down the line.

Anyway, if any of you are interested, go to

    or
    http://bridgeradio.listen2myshow.com/ on Sunday evening.

That's great Dave - congratulations and I wish you every success

    I'll try and tune in

I made a major career change also quite recently

I'm usually inclined toward scientific or technical employment but have taken the plunge and am trying art in the form of custom airbrushing vehicles etc

He's just changed his career. He doesn't want to change it again.

                    Hi all,

Thanks for the encouragement. The last time I did anything like this was back in 1971. I used to do a couple of shows on the internal radio network at the RAF base I was stationed at. Then, all we had was a pair of record decks. Now I have a portable studio on my laptop!

The landlord of my local pub, the Waiters Arms, (also where the radio station is based) has said that he will stream the show in the the pub on Sunday night. Hope it doesn't affect his profits too much!
