Fellini Satryicon
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original)
Psycho (original)
Air Bud (dogs can't play basketball)

You know, Last House on the Left makes this list based on it's reputation rather than on it's own merit.

Sure it's disturbing--and at the time of release it was really disturbing--but quite frankly it's hard to watch more because it's boring than disturbing.

You want disturbing, watch "Machine Girl" sometime

I'm surprised none of the "Guinea Pig" movies made the list.

Stan: Agreed on the Satyricon. It's more of an endurance test than a movie...

Default Repulsion & Eraserhead!

'Repulsion' with Catherine Deneuve.
It's an old b&w movie, CD's first. She goes mad in an apartment, & you the viewer see all the weird effects she sees. My god, even the apartment's walls and refrigerator were scary!

When we were teenagers, my friends & I used to go see movies like 'Eraserhead' when they played at midnight in obscure theaters. One time my best friend's sister who was 2-1/2 yrs younger tagged along.
When she saw the loathsome lamb-fetus monstrosity thing she freaked out, started crying & practically had a nervous breakdown! My friend kept watching the movie, but I spent the next hour or so sitting out the car in the parking lot with her semi-hysterical sister until she had cried herself out.
Actually, I don't think i ever saw Eraserhead again after that.

Regards, Archaic
PS: The sister is all grown up & just fine now. It was a stage or something.

How about a "pre-code" film like Maniac from the early 1930s? Most of these listers don't know movies were actually made before 1960.
