The term "London Guardian" is I feel, a little misleading.
The Manchester Guardian was founded as early as 1821 and moved its office and printing to London in the mid 1960's when it became known as "The Guardian.

In the archive I used, it says'The Guardian' with a reference to London.
However, I believe you're correct in that it ought to read 'The Guardian'...not London Guardian. I've changed it.
