You know this might be halfway funny if the writer had taken care to get any of the facts about the Royal family right --

Scotland Yard’s Chief Criminal Detective Sir Issac Denison Sparrel said that Harry turned himself in to British law enforcement officials late last night after a lengthy heart-to-heart with long-time confidant Fergie, the Duchess of Wales.

“Fergie suspected something was up with Harry from the moment she met him, shortly after she entered the royal family a few years back,” Detective Sparrel announced Tuesday morning. . . .

The former Sarah Ferguson, of course, is not the "Duchess of Wales." She is the divorced wife of Andrew, the Duke of York. Despite the couple's parting of the ways she retains the title, Sarah, Duchess of York. (Wags dubbed her the "Duchess of Pork" before she became involved with Weight Watchers in the 1990s.)

Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson married in 1986, five years after Prince Charles and and the former Diana Spencer tied the knot. Charles and Diana's second son, Prince Harry, was born 15 September 1984, so that's before Sarah became part of the Royal family. Thus, it's hard to see how “Fergie suspected something was up with Harry from the moment she met him, shortly after she entered the royal family a few years back.” Harry was a two-year-old infant at the time she married Andrew so unless there were tell-tale signs such as his eyes glowing red and he was centrifuging pea soup out of his pram it's doubtful that she could have suspected he was the Ripper, even in such a badly written prank hoax news story. Give us a break.
