Just wanted to mention that over on Casebook, David Orsam has confirmed Monty's recollection: PC 63L was Henry Rouse.

There are some points concerning PC 63 L that need to be clarified.

      - We do not know if 63 L was conducting his beat in Dorset street, or in Commercial Street. If in Dorset street his comment as to hearing nothing (the scream?) makes sense, if 125+ feet away in Commercial st. it does not.

      - We do not know if 63 L is the constable referred to by Hutchinson.

      - Whether PC 63 L saw a loiterer in Dorset st. was not pursued at the inquest, and whether he was able to confirm the presence of Hutchinson at any point in his vigil will never be known because Hutchinson only came forward after the inquest had concluded.
