Researchers in our field know that there will be times when you feel like ripping your hair out when a serial in a newspaper or article cannot be completed because a particular issue has not been digitized or it simply does not exist anymore. The Whitechapel Murder files are incomplete themselves and that sort of makes things understandable...and then we just go off and sulk for a bit.

I looked in a pair of newspaper archives and was unable to find the third installment of this 1950 serialization of influential crime writer ( Personally, I'd never heard of him) Carroll John Daly's "The Seventh Murder". I regret that the continuity of the serial being interrupted as it is will probably spoil the reader's enjoyment ( if any...I haven't read it yet )....but it might be worthwhile if someone could try and locate the installment for August 31st,1950 in the Idaho paper....or a different paper with the entire article.

In any event, its another bit of Ripper fiction and one most people probably haven't seen before.

I found the entire and totally legible copy of the story written by Daly in
a newspaper just now.
