Hi Howard et al.

Let's get this straight. It's Martin A. Danahay and Alex Chisholm's book about the famous 1888 dramatization of Robert Louis Stevenson's tale Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by actor Richard Mansfield and writer Thomas Richard Sullivan not some type of video or DVD of a new production of Mansfield's dramatization as your headline makes it sound!

Not having owned a copy of Alex's book before, I have just downloaded it to my Kindle. YOU might do likewise, my friends.

All the best

Chris

Default Jekyll & Hyde Festive Freebie

Free Amazon Kindle Download of Jekyll and Hyde Dramatized.

In the spirit of the season, and shameless self-promotion, I thought it might be of interest to some that the Kindle edition of Jekyll and Hyde Dramatized, by Professor Martin Danahay and yours truly, will be available for anyone to download for Free on 27 & 28 December from any Amazon site. (.com, .co.uk, etc.) The offer starts at 12.00am on 27 and ends 11.59pm 28 December, Pacific Standard Time (GMT minus 8 hours)

Even if you don’t own a Kindle e-reader, and Santa doesn’t bring you one, Kindle for PC can be downloaded for free from Amazon, enabling any Kindle e-book to be read on your computer.

In addition to other early scripts, theatrical and biographical details, Jekyll and Hyde Dramatized includes the full script of Richard Mansfield’s stage play, which was performed at the Lyceum, London, August to October 1888, as well as reviews of the play and pertinent Ripper-related newspaper reports that many forum members may find interesting.

A couple of minor alterations have been made since the book first appeared on Kindle, so this is also a chance for anyone who has already purchased a copy to get the latest revised version for free.

The book can be accessed from the links at the bottom of this post at Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk respectively.

To anyone taking advantage of this free offer on 27 & 28 December 2011 – thank you and happy reading.

Best Wishes and a Merry Christmas
alex
