Suzi found something on eBay a few weeks ago, which isn't on that list: a 'Knitted Hitler Doll' knitting pattern. "Knit one for each of the special children in your life." (Or in my case, future son-in-law.)

I think people would be truly revolted if they were presented with a list of ingredients that made up their usual presents e.g. all the animal by-products even worse those parts which come from pets!
Squirrel earrings - it wasn't that long ago that getting a rabbit foot was considered a good pressie! Knitted dolls - I knew it would be you, Suzy, with those pics I know there are plenty of macabre knitting fans out there as I've seen some blogs of patterns/photos of mutilated knitted dolls.Actually on this subject, I once saw a very peculiar shop display up in Scotland, small village only a couple of shops and this one, double fronted with dolls. So I peered inside and was stunned to see Barbies displayed in horrific scenes. Some time later I read about it in the national papers, as it caused a lot of offence. |
