These remind me of a history programme I saw the other day where they reconstructed the circumstances of the death of a person who's bones were found in York
It turned out to be a 19th C low class teenager with chronic syphilitic scars all over, implying infection at around 12 yrs old or maybe younger Some professor guy showed some 19th C waxwork medical specimen thingies which showed what syphilis does to your face... |

You know, they say that's why they use frogs in science class when they dissect animals because Frogs are pretty similar to people, like English and American people. Now I see why... Thanks for the photos of the guy with the ripped face. I was getting ready to eat.
