This particular attack wasn’t specifically targeting Casebook.
Several other websites were also infected.
    Scary stuff, though.

Scary isn't the word for it, Jon....I was and still am a little shaken up.

Might it have something to do with the sort of registration process CB and the other affected sites utilize ?

Might be a coincidence and totally unrelated to this potentially disastrous episode, but 80 of the last 100 emails I've received on our site's email service have been from Asia ( China, Korea, and Indonesia) and look professionally made.
I hope our security is top notch and the best up to date.....?

I don’t know how it got in, but it was able to hijack all of the websites living on the same server(s).

          Absolutely, Anna.
          Our server sends regular reports.
I just backed it up...14.4 Gigs worth. Everything but the last 5 or 6 posts made today were included.
They'll be in the next back up ( Saturday, October 5th)

You mean new information on Lechmere could've been lost? Disappointing.

(I have just begun reading there again since the one with the eternal soap opera of not naming Jack, has migrated to other places.)

Although the site hasn’t been hacked- I’d like to let you all know that whatever software problem Casebook is experiencing today, Stephen is in the process of fixing it. Ignore the “account suspended” warning.

                            Thanks

I'm finding logging in a problem. It says 'logging in' but doesn't actually do so.
