If scrapple is banned...as non-essential or whatever...I can start collecting roadkill. What do you prefer in your scrapple? Ground squirrels? There are lots of baby ground squirrels that run back and forth across all the roads about now. I keep praying I don't hit them but last year three of them ran under my wheels. Could have escaped but they turned back and ran under the tires. I felt real bad because they are cute but they insist upon challenging Darwin's Law. Only the smart ones survive.

Otherwise, how about raccoons? Coyotes? Deer guts? (When deer challenge big trucks on the freeway there is generally a mess.) An eagle or something left parts of a wild turkey down on the river bank. The dog has been rolling in it. That ought to be about ripe enough for good scrapple?

I'd appreciate it if you would start collecting roadkill, Anna. The pickings are slim 'round here.

I can't boil water, but Nina ought to be able to make something out of mountain 'kill.

Thanks everyone! And congrats to Howie and Nina.

Our cat, Monty, brought us an early anniversary present last week - the bottom half of a grey squirrel. Yum.

No sprouts or scrapple thank goodness. Mr Brown of Sidmouth opened the bubbly and cooked some delicious Greek food. He was richly rewarded on Saturday evening, with his favourite Eurovision entry, showing me how I should go about my household chores:

              Caz:

That sounded like a nice meal Adrian prepared for you....

I got ya beat though. I just ran out to the dumpster and retrieved this can ( one of 6 I ate over this past weekend ) of one of my down home favorite meals.

              Ever try it ???

Nina wore her corona mask the entire weekend....indoors and out.

Happy Anniversary to the Browns, come November Carol and I will have been married, literally triple that!

Note for Anna, the Hills Hoist, a rotary clothesline, invented here in Australia is a national icon. Considering clothes dry so quickly on hoy days here, why wouldn't you do it outside.
                    Thanks for your time,
