127 years ago today, Martha's body was identified by her former husband, Henry Samuel Tabram.

All the women, struggled day in, day out. Was Martha a Ripper victim? Or was the murder at the hands of a soldier?

Mrs Mahoney back in doors after food shopping by 1:50am. 2am, soldier spotted by PC Barrett. Other solider with Tabram, just miss Mrs Mahoney, then killed before 2:30am. All this going on whilst PC Barrett tells loitering soldier to move on.

Any thoughts?

Paul: Read Tom Wescott's 'Bank Holiday Murders'. There was quite a bit of mayhem going on in the street in front of the building where Martha was killed. There was a lot of activity that night which greatly complicates things.

I strongly suspect that Martha was Jack's first victim. Either way, it was a horrible way and place for her to die. R.I.P.
